Rain and Wind

Oregon is famous for being green, but we sure pay for it! We have had lots of heavy rain and high winds. My husband didn't realize the yard was so wet and he drove his pickup onto it and due to a slight downgrade.....he got stuck!! It took him several tries to get to solid ground. Of course the yard looks awful with all the tire ruts..one saving grace is: I didn't do it!! I am going to cook beans and ham for dinner tonight. A nice big ham bone left from Christmas dinner will be delicious with the red beans. I am from OK so love foods like that. Another time, more exciting news from the Harts.

The Hart's Oregon Life

Hello from the wild coast of Oregon! My name is Anita and my husband, Bill, our 2 spoiled dachshunds, Molly and Abby have lived here in a tiny town not far from the coast for almost 15 years. We love the peace and quiet. Our little town of Langlois even has a restaurant called the "Greasy Spoon"! We also have a market that is famous for its hot dogs with homemade sweet/hot mustard. A new library was built a few years ago and I worked there for quite a while. It is really a laid back type of life here but we were ready for it after living many years in California. Everybody knows everybody and it is fun to hear the locals tell about the history of the town. That is it for now...stay tuned for more very exciting news from Oregon!
